Wallpaper Kitchen Whimsy

This area was also dark and dreary with a window that looked out onto the neighbour’s brick wall about six feet away. The kitchen already had a on point mid-century modern (MCM) influence – from which we took our inspiration for the kitchen dining area.

We selected a whimsical wallpaper that was bright and cheerful and set that as the backdrop to a MCM table and chrome framed chairs that we reupholstered in a durable robin’s egg blue along with classic swivel chairs with custom seat cushions. The backdrop to hide the brick is a layer of sheers and lightly multi-colour striped drapes.
